I picked one of these up for my new Weber Spirit 310. Just got it today and immediatly put it to the test of making Italian sausage, peppers and onions. The Sizzle Q takes up about 75% of my Weber’s cooking area and seems adaquate for cooknig for 6 to 8 people. I cooked 6 large italian sausages, 2 peppers and 2 onions (both sliced up). It took about 20 to 30 minutes to brown and cook the sausage and render the peppers and onions. I even had enough room to put the hoagie rolls down and brown them a bit. The meal was a big hit.
When I got the Sizzle Q I first washed it with soap and water per the directions. I then put it on my grill with the gas set at medium temperature and left it for about 10 minutes. I have an infrared thermometer and checked the surface temp of the griddle. It was only about 200 degrees. I pulled the lid down on my grill and let it heat up another 10 minutes until the Weber’s thermometer read about 400 deg. I opened up the lid and the griddle was around 325. I sprayed the griddle with PAM and proceeded to cook away. After I finished I took the food off and as discussed in the instructions (also in a video I saw on utube)I dumped some water on the griddle and scraped the grease and burned stuff into the trough.
A couple of observations;
I’d have liked the griddle to be a bit bigger, but I dont want it so much that I’d buy the $200 Little Griddle.
The veggies tended to slide into the grease trough. It could have been the angle my grill was at on my patio, but I would imagine you would want it to be tipped a bit so grease would run in that direction.
Even though the griddle cleaned up well on the grill, there still seemed to be a bit of residual “brown” left on the cooking surface. I’m sure I could get it squeaky clean with some steel wool “or scotch pad as recommended”, but Its probably ok and will be non stick with spray the next time I cook.
All and all I think this is a great addition to my grill and I look forward to lots of different cooking experiments.

I’ve used my Sizzle-Q a number of times now, and it is well built, made of very thick material, and is most likely indestructable. It has been used several times to cook bacon and other items, and does so quite well. The only downside is that since it is not coated (and it shouldn’t be given the temperatures it is subjected to), so food does stick unless you spray the surface first. Sometimes food sticks regardless of spraying or not.
One other thing of note. As of the writing of this review, the Amazon description says it’s made in America, but the manufacturer’s site, [...]

I was sick and tired of losing vegetables in the grill, and I hate using tin foil. Enter the Sizzle Q. This item is well built and it rests comfortably on one side of my grill. Now, the options are limitless! The package was pretty badly damaged in shipping, and the manufacturer might consider using a little bit of padding…but there was no damage to the actual unit. I would absolutely recommend this product to the budget-minded SUPER GRILLER out there. Here’s to summer!

It is so refreshing to receive a product and it’s just as it was described. I love this grill and and it works just as they said it would. I recommend watching the care and cleaning video offered on the web sight as it will make a difference to your grilling experience with this product.
