  • What a piece of junk! I ordered this to go with my new grill, being a rainy summer, I put it on my refrigerator until I got a good to try it out.

I threw away the billing because it was a Weber, top of the line equipment, right? WRONG! I opened the box, inserted the batteries, pushed the reset as instructed, and the unit inficated no signal to receiver.

Dead on arrival! Strike # 2 on Amazon.com.

I did what I should have done, ordered a similar unit from QVC who test all the products that they carry!

  • Nice features but closing the lid of the grill on the wire will kill it. I searched for some time on the Weber site for a support contact to buy another probe. No luck.

  • My Weber digital thermometer failed me when I needed it this Thanksgiving. I was perturbed to find that it no longer worked despite only three years of light use (and after I had already purchased the necessary AA (2) and AAA (2) batteries to operate it. Fortunately, my Cook’s Illustrated prime rib recipe never fails me, so the roast came out well despite the broken Weber thermometer (and my inability to buy a thermometer the evening of Thanksgiving). During the thermometer’s operational years, I found it somewhat convenient to have the wireless function, but by no means was it necessary. I prefer the old school, non-electronic meat thermometer, which I also use for cooking roasts and turkeys. A decent classic meat thermometer will outlast this Weber by many years and multiple uses.

  • This product works perfect with my Holland grill. Since burning is impossable on a holland grill, this thermometer lets me know when my grill meat is excatly as I like it. A must for all grillers…

  • The product works wonderfully when used with our oven indoors. I purchased it for use, however, with our Weber Charcoal Grill. We have yet to test it with the grill. The key issue will be using the thermometer with the cover on the grill during ‘baking’. We destroyed the wire attempting this with our last thermometer(not a Weber)and hope that this will not occur with this one. In the instructions it says to keep direct heat from the charcoal away from the wire which is probably the key. We have high hopes.
