300 BBQ Grill Recipes
I ordered two because they were in stock and it is summer. The thermometers work fine both read boiling water at correct temperature – they are suppose to. they fog up and are hard to read but color code helps. This company took two weeks to get them to me , now understand they are round mechanical thermometers in blister packs. I do not understand why it took so long to fill – read that ship an item that was in stock. It felt like i was being punished for not paying more for shipping – never again. Buy it at a local retailer.

My only beef with these thermometers is that they are not easily calibrated. Most people will put them in a boiling water bath and adjust them to 212 degrees. The adjustment screw is on the back of the thermo, and so you have to pull out the thermo before you can make the adjustment, so you are actually adjusting as the temperature is cooling down. It takes a couple of tries to get it right on the money, but other than that, these seem to work fine on my smoker. They have held their calibration through a few weeks of smoking everything from boston butts to turkey legs.
